Morphine mice
by Ava DeFranco
Skitter scatter
My brain matter
Morphine mice in decided clatter
In a life of stimulation
I somehow find to isolation
Friction feeds at my addiction
Heartbeat blood-red hues
The deeper yearning I had never lose
Dippin Dots and booze
Caressed me memory black to blue
On me leave a bruise
That solidifies a love for you
And tangles in my thoughts at night
Silent Secrets hide from light
And your junk bag boyfriend I'd like to fight
Or rather
I’d deck someone at my own height
A brighter day with each small site
waves back at me you're all Delights
fall deep to every word you say
a morphine mind so led astray
